I just signed up for a 5K run and I have to say that this is the first running event that I am signed up for in my entire life.  I can’t say I’m the most fit person but I am currently training for it and it feels great.  My schedule right now is the run one day and then do strength training the other days with one to two days off during the week just to rest.  I’m also trying to eat a lot better and currently it is going well!  I actually have lost a little over 10 pounds since last summer.  It’s a slow rate, but I’m going to keep at it consistently.  I am hoping that training for this run will improve my health as well.

As for the event, it will be in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on March 30th (more info here). The registration fees will go towards sarcoma cancer research.  Good cause, healthy activity, and in the middle of San Francisco.  How much better can it get?  I will update with some pictures once the event is done.  Now on to training! yippee!
